Weekend Update

Trevor M.

The Saints had an eventful weekend! On Friday, the girls' basketball team played Brunswick High School and emerged victorious. This was an extremely close match, with a final score of 59-58. Tenley Mullendore (4th form) led the team with 21 points and 6 steals, her career-high in steals. Tenley also hit the team’s final shot, winning the game in its last seconds. As a reward for this Friday night victory, the team went sledding at the Turf Field for team bonding during Monday’s practice. This is the 9th win of the season for the girls’ basketball team, which solidifies their winning record.

The wrestling team also had a successful weekend after their win on Thursday against Williamsport. They traveled to Burtonsville on Friday and Saturday to compete in the Panther Invitational Tournament. Mikey Holmes (5th form) and Brodie Burdette (5th form) were the champions of their weight classes, with the latter named Outstanding Wrestler. Chase Pugh (5th form), Derek Owumi (6th form), Anthony Pierce (5th form), Josh Davies (4th form), and Jack O’Neal (3rd form) also placed. The Saints are having an immensely successful winter season, and countless more achievements are yet to come!
